Chinese Cinema Cycle

The Confucius Institute is organising its monthly Chinese Cinema Cycle in partnership with the Cercle Cité. This is a unique opportunity to discover Chinese films and documentaries (with English and/or French subtitles). The Confucius Institute worked with the Allers-Retours Association to select the films.

The story begins with a serial cases of dog-killing in the early 1990s. Li Lizhong, leader of the local defense team, starts with investigating one case, following a set of strange clues and studying them through piecemeal knowledge of primitive criminology and trace evidence studies, catches the dog killer.

At the same time, all the clues show that the dog-killing case is strongly related to the “accidental” death of Li Lizhong’s father.
