Receptions and parlours
These salons or private rooms, the architecture of which was beautifully preserved during the renovation work, are located on the 3rd floor of the Cercle. They recall the convivial but very elegant aspect of the Cercle in former times: the Grande Salle, the Salon Bleu, the Salle Flamande, the Salle des Dames and the Bar Foyer. If you wish, you can also visit the exhibitions currently on show at the Ratskeller.
The architectural heart of the building, the Grande Salle of the Cercle Cité is an exceptional reception area where the footsteps of illustrious guests such as Queen Elisabeth II, French President François Mitterrand and Pope Francis I during state visits to the Grand Duchy still resonnate. Its ancient glass chandelier, elegant mouldings and view over the Place d'Armes, take you back in time.
Dedicated to prestigious events, the 480 m2 of the Grande Salle can accommodate a maximum of 400 people, depending on the configuration chosen: receptions, concerts, banquets, academic sessions, etc.

- 1 conference desk with two integrated swan neck microphones;

With its glass dome and stained glass windows, the Bar Foyer offers an environment that is both sober and elegant. An open space that can be used as a reception area or to complement other rooms, the Bar Foyer lends itself to multiple uses. We particularly recommend it for cocktail receptions of up to 150 people.
The rental of the Grande Salle includes the Bar Foyer.
The glass footbridge overlooking Rue Genistre links the Bar Foyer directly to the Auditorium Cité, which can be hired for cocktails after a conference or round table.

The Salon Bleu is an ideal place to bring your guests together with the Bar Foyer and the other spaces. This cosy room, with its fully moulded ceiling and partitions partly covered in carved wood, is ideal for small-scale events such as conferences, concerts, weddings, etc.

The Salle Flamande is an elegant and intimate space, and it is included within the rental of the Bar Foyer and the Grande Salle.
This room also provides access from the Salons of the venue to the Auditorium Cité via the glass footbridge over Rue Genistre.
