In front of the film camera, actors are asked to play different roles. But which role do they play when they are promoting the film? Are they simply themselves or is there another, different kind of role playing game that develops between the photographer and the artists? The film stills of Fabrizio Maltese show the actors at work, his personal, one-on-one portraits observe actors and directors when they play themselves - or pretend to.
