Screenings on Inclusion - Je crie ton nom

In 2023, the Cercle Cité is organising a new screening series of short films and artists' films, which address different aspects of inclusion, accessibility, integration and discrimination in a philosophical and original way.

These topics are highly debatable in a society that on the one hand is becoming more and more aware of the subject of identity and diversity, but which nevertheless faces difficulties in adapting to this new awareness. Migration issues and the new wave of nationalism in Europe, the rights of people with special needs, the rights of people belonging to the LGBTQIA+ group or age discrimination and loneliness; the themes related to these debates are multifaceted and affect many of us.

The second screening is organised on the occasion of the Luxembourg Pride Week and in collaboration with Rosa Lëtzebuerg asbl.

Nicolas lives in a home for elderly people and gets increasingly bored day by day. To escape his loneliness, he calls gay chatlines in the evenings. When Daniel, a new resident, moves into the home, his life is thrown into disarray. I scream your name (Je crie ton nom, 2015) by the Swiss-Romanian filmmaker Oskar Rosetti touches upon the important subject of (homo-) sexuality and aging today.

Contrary to what had been announced, the screening will be followed by a discussion between Anastasia Chaguidouline (Cercle Cité) and Tom Hecker (Rosa Lëtzebuerg asbl), with the participation of GERO asbl (in French).
Director Oskar Rosetti will, unfortunately, be unable to attend.
