With its CeCiL’s Box project, Cercle Cité welcomes creations in one of its windows on rue du Curé. This project aims to present varied and original interventions to the public, and is also a way to support local creation by offering visibility to guest artists. These interventions are visible 7 days a week, day and night.
Sali Muller is a fine observer of habits in terms of vision and perception, who takes position against notions such as selfishness and finitude. As a young visual artist, she tackles the impossibility of representing a person, often opting for installations as her medium of choice. Through her conceptual art, Sali Muller explores the role of the individual in their relation to themselves as well as their environment. In particular, she examines the way Man is moving away from nature, as well as the representation of oneself. The artist works with photography, using objects in conjunction with sound and light installations.
Das Zeitfenster is an artwork which continually manipulates the perception of the onlookers passing through the rue du Curé. The window blinds’ random position as well as the strips’ rotation both allow the bystander to witness a perpetual change of color. The gradually decreasing aperture of the blinds, from the very first which is open, to the final, completely closed one, reflects the slowly expanding loss of interpersonal relations as well as the partition to the real world , replaced by a fictional and manipulated unveiling on social media.
