With its CeCiL’s Box project, Cercle Cité welcomes creations in one of its windows on rue du Curé. This project aims to present varied and original interventions to the public, and is also a way to support local creation by offering visibility to guest artists. These interventions are visible 7 days a week, day and night.
Vestiges is a series that falls within an analysis about time and memory, through a variety of finely sculpted wood essences. The artist’s use of wood conveys a new view on the traces of time and trigger a reflection about our existence in the immensity of time. Through its forms, its motifs, its rings and nuances, each piece of wood shares its history, morphing those traces of life into an emotional landscape.
He has a heart, a hardened heart.

He draws a grouping of repeated lines.
As a fine artist, Se-Lyung Moon seeks to represent the beauty aesthetics of Bi-Jang-Mi (from the Korean 비장미, 悲壯美), “the beauty where sublime melancholy resides, the aesthetic which spurts out from great sadness”.
The entirety of her works often questions fear and desire by evoking the human condition, leading to a reflection on our existence. These existential searches allow her to keep a universal language. Her body of work is composed of paintings and extend in a diversity of forms and techniques, sculptures, installations, multimedia… Her creation takes root in her Asian culture by confronting and sharing it with Western culture.
